Al-Ahli Club is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in Qatar, founded in 1950 under the name “Al-Najah Sports Club.” In 1964, the founding members were officially licensed to establish a club called “Al-Najah Sports Club.” In 1972, the Youth Welfare Management issued a decision to merge clubs, and the managements of Al-Najah Club and Al-Ahli Club, formerly known as the “Youth Team” affiliated with the Ministry of Education at that time before the merger, agreed to merge. The club’s logo was chosen, featuring the colors green and white, and the name Al-Ahli Sports Club. Al-Ahli Club is located in the Al Hilal area and has a large fan base in Qatari football.
