Zakreet Fort is located on the western coast of Qatar near Dukhan. It’s one of the prominent historical sites in Qatar that attracts travelers and historical explorers throughout the year. The fort was constructed between the 18th and 19th centuries and is renowned for its unique design. Interestingly, Zakreet Fort underwent two separate construction phases. Initially, the fort was built as a square structure without any towers. However, in a subsequent phase of construction, the four towers were added to the external corners of the fort.
