Dahl Al Misfir

Dahl Al Misfir

Dahl Al Misfir, located about an hour’s drive from Hamad International Airport, is among the largest and deepest caves in Qatar, plunging to depths of more than 40 meters. The cave is characterized by a faint glow resembling moonlight, resulting from gypsum deposits geologically known as “Desert Roses.” Entrance to the cave is through a small opening leading to a larger space where unique rock formations and nesting birds can be observed. Notably, the cave offers refuge from the summer heat, with temperatures gradually changing as you descend into its depths.
