Ras Brouq

Ras Brouq

Ras Brouq is a rock formation located in the northern part of the city of Dukhan and is one of the most significant heritage sites in the State of Qatar. These formations are distinguished by their terraced shapes and consist of limestones sculpted by the wind. Historically, these formations show evidence of human settlement on the island before the Common Era, where nomadic tribes settled. These limestone terrains were formed as a result of erosion and the impact of winds that shaped them into hills and unique geological terrains.
