Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) is the first Islamic bank in Qatar, established in 1982. It is the largest private sector bank in the country and the second-largest bank in Qatar with a market share exceeding 11% of assets, financing, and deposits. The bank currently holds about 40% of the Islamic banking sector in the country. It operates approximately 22 branches and more than 170 ATMs. QIB has received credit ratings of (A+) from Capital Intelligence, (A1) from Moody’s, and (A-) from Fitch.
