The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup for national men’s teams, held every four years and competed for by national teams that are members of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). It took place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022, making it the first World Cup held in the Arab world, the Islamic world, and the second edition held in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan. Argentina won the title in this edition, defeating France 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw in extra time in the final match, which was held at the Lusail Stadium.
